A Ship Without a Rudder Goes Nowhere.
When I started this site in January, I had a clear vision of where we were going. The big problem I’ve run into to is that my vision was based on the Internet marketing of many years ago. Things have changed and unless we all adapt to that change, nothing happens.
The basic principles of online marketing are the same. Find good products that solve problems, identify an audience that needs the solution, turn their needs into desires and fulfil that desire. Basic selling really. However, things have moved on so much, that today, I believe it is easier to make money online than ever before.
Simple things like for example, graphics. I used to spend hours creating graphics in Photoshop, a skill I still have and can use, but today, we have Canva available to anyone for free. I personally use the Pro version, but for the majority of things, the free version does just fine. Making online videos has never been easier. I have used so many different video editors over the years, but nothing comes close to the simplicity of Capcut. Again, all for free.
Product delivery is now so easy with sites like Stan Store, unheard of a few years ago. Systeme io is another game changer. Autoresponders like Aweber, completely free until you grow big enough to need the paid version, by which time, you are earning enough to pay for it.
Then there are the new ways of attracting your audience. Yes, we had social media before, but it was limited. Email lists, of course and still very important. But we had to rely on posting on forums or organic leads from a SEO’ed to death websites. Now, with TikTok and Instagram opening you up to an audience of Billions, the opportunities are endless. SEO is still very important, but it’s much more weighted on quality content rather than backlinks, Meta Data and Keywords.
So, where is this all leading up to? This site will still have the Blog content, so important for organic growth. Yes we will still promote great stand alone products for visitors, and constantly add useful information. But, we are turning part of the site into a membership only area. This will be our “Business in a Box” area with specialised training on all aspects of online marketing with each training tutorial available to download and resell for elite members at no extra cost. We will also be adding new products weekly which can be purchased by anyone, or again for our Elite Members, downloaded free of charge as part of their membership.
All products will come with either Master Resell Rights or Private Label Rights. This is where the business in a box idea comes into play. Not only will Elite Members be able to learn via the training modules how to set up the business, they will also get access to $100’s of products over many different Niches to increase their own inventory.
It’s taking a lot of work re-designing the site, but I believe it will be worth it, and truly become a Hub for online business owners..
