Is It Game Over For The Online Course Excitement?

Over the last year, and we’ve spoken about it on here, there has been a lot of excitement in the “Make Money Online” space. Social media is awash with the high ticket Online Course. Some wild claims of income, some real, some obviously not. You know the sort of thing. “Quit Your Job by Working Just 2 Hours a Day” and other nonsense like that.
Well, it seems that the bubble has burst for those who have been buying a course to resell a course. Most without using the course to build a sustainable business. For them there is a big shock around the corner.
You see, if all of their eggs were in the selling the course basket, now the excitement has died down, where is their income coming from?
So, let’s get down to the basics of what has happened here.
So What Happened to the Online Course Space
Unfortunately, what started out as a genuine helpful add on by course creators, and in particular I’m talking about Zach & Hannah Pippins who created the wonderful Roadmap courses, has been misused by many sellers. Back when they created the Roadmap, Zach & Hannah decided to offer it with Master Resell Rights. In fact, they didn’t invent the idea of MRR, that’s been around since the dawn of internet marketing. It’s merely a type of resell licence that allows purchasers to resell a product and keep 100% of the income.
It was done for the very best of motives. They wanted to create a product that teaches in really great detail, how to run a business, either bricks and mortar or online. And, it does just that and more. Knowing full well that it would add nothing for their personal long term income, they sold it with MRR, allowing new business owners to add a brilliant high ticket item to their own inventory.
Just think about this for a second, they created the course, which is an incredible achievement in it’s own right, they look after the whole back end operation, including hosting the course on Kajabi at their own expense. So, anyone selling the course has no outgoings apart from the initial cost, don’t have to pay anything to host it and keep 100%. The only income Zach and Hannah get from the course is from their own personal sales. As Zach and Hannah say, it was never about money, for them it was a much bigger picture.
What Went Wrong?
The Roadmap comes a with very strict licence agreement, which includes the minimum price it can be sold for. Plus no wild claims about earnings etc. It has to remain a completely ethical opportunity. However, not everyone is like Zach & Hannah. too many people saw it as a way to make a quick buck. Buying it just to resell, without even investing the time to learn from it. It trended for months across social media, almost as a get rich quick scheme. This reflected back onto the creators. You see allegations of it being Pyramid selling or MLM or worse a scam are starting to appear.
Anyone who understands out what MLM or Pyramid schemes are will know how false this is. Not a single penny goes into the Changing Courses 11 business. Again, their income comes from their personal sales. This has made the whole MRR online income space very muddy. Furthermore, it’s had a serious effect on them. The Roadmap is their intellectual property. Having creating it and hosting it for everyone, it leaves a very bad taste.

What They Are Doing to Rectify the Online Course Problem.
Clearly action had to be taken to turn this around. Deciding that pulling the plug on the Roadmap was not an option because of their commitment to the Roadmap community. Now, when I say commitment, I mean just that. You see, they are a very rare breed of entrepreneurs. Actually, for them, it’s not about the money, it’s about the journey, community and business integrity.
So, they have decided to create a new course. I guess a sort of Super Roadmap. However, Roadmap 3.0 will live on as a great product for current owners to use and resell, if they want too. As of today nothing definite has been released apart from it being hosted on Stan Store. But, it appears that the new course will be a complete rewrite, with improved modules.
I’m not sure how they will achieve that as it’s pretty much perfect. Buyers will still have an opportunity to resell the new course, but it won’t be automatic, there will be some form of approval system. It will be a type of MRR / Affiliate hybrid. This will allow them to keep a much tighter control on the product, while allowing a small percentage of revenue to go back into the business. This will help towards running costs, which should of happened in the first place.
Is an Online Course Still Worth Buying?
That can only be answered by you. If your intention is to invest in a course, in particular the Roadmap or it’s new incarnation in the future, and use it, yes. If you just want to make a quick short term buck, then keep clear. They never intended it to be a business in a box..
If you are serious about starting an effective online, or any business for that matter, it is worth it’s weight in gold. Have we taken the Roadmap course, yes, we have now. I thought I knew most things about online marketing. The Roadmap has increased my knowledge in many ways. How we use social media has changed. This website is changing to make it more user friendly and visible.
Are We Selling The Roadmap.
Now that we have completed it, yes, we would be stupid not too. But, we are building a new section of this site for our Roadmap customers. A high ticket item like this must come with ongoing after sales service. If you buy The Roadmap from us prior to the new one launching, you will automatically get access to it at no extra cost. That has to be the greatest opportunity ever in the online course space and shows the commitment Zac & Hannah have to their creation.
As an added bonus, if you invest in the Roadmap from us, before the change over, you will receive a lifetime membership of our Elite Members section due to be launched in a few weeks. This allows access to over 23 separate training modules all with either MRR or PLR, plus free downloads of our growing number of member products, again with either MRR or PLR licenses. Normal membership is $19.95 per month, and you will get it free forever or the life of this site, whichever comes first.
