Link-in-Bio. How to Create a Really Powerful Page

Let’s Take a Look at Link-in-Bio Options

If you’re serious about growing your online presence, then a well-optimised “link-in-bio” page is a must. Whether you’re a content creator, entrepreneur, or affiliate marketer, this simple yet powerful tool can help to drive traffic, conversions, and streamline your audience’s journey.

So, In this post, we’ll explore the pros and cons of popular link-in-bio platforms like Beacons.ai, Stan Store, and Systeme.io. Also we’ll also discuss how you can create a free link-in-bio page using WordPress and Aweber.

Why You Need a Link-in-Bio Page

Social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and X (Twitter) limit users to a single clickable link in their profile. This restriction makes it difficult to direct followers to multiple destinationsβ€”your website, latest blog post, affiliate offers, or online store.

A link in bio page solves this problem by acting as a mini landing page where you can showcase multiple links, products, and services in one place. Think of it as a mini shop front. A way to advertise your goods, a stepping stone if you like, from your great post to your other services.

Best Platforms for Creating a Link-in-Bio Page.

When you start out in Internet Marketing, often it’s by following a course, the course creator will, naturally recommend external services to build your business, which usually come at a cost. Here’s the thing, just remember, the creators will have links which earn commission for them. Actually, there is nothing wrong with that, it’s called affiliate marketing. But, you don’t always need to pay out cash, you haven’t made yet. That can come later as you grow your business.

1. Beacons.ai. Popular Link-in-Bio Option

This is our current favourite, and the one we currently use. Click on the name to be redirected to Beacons for more details. This is an affiliate link, so we will get a small commission to help run this site, but you still get a great deal.

Beacons.ai is a feature-rich link-in-bio tool designed for creators and influencers. Therefore It offers customisation options, monetisation features, and analytics to track engagement. And if you sign up to Beacons and you can also get a free domain name and website. Visit our’s here.

Pros

  • Easy to use with drag-and-drop customisation
  • Supports social media integration for better engagement
  • Affordable compared to competitors
  • Allows selling digital products directly from the page

Cons

  • Limited design flexibility compared to WordPress
  • Some advanced features require a paid plan

2. Stan.Store

Stan Store is a creator-friendly eCommerce platform that lets influencers sell digital products, coaching sessions, and memberships. It works really well and is very easy to use for beginners. We have used Stan in the past with no problems at all. The reason we moved away from it was cost. The basic package does not offer enough features and the pro plan is too expensive, in our opinion for beginners.

Once you are up and running and starting to generate some good income, it’s well worth looking at. The link above is not an affiliate link.

Pros

  • Seamless social media integration for direct selling
  • Automated calendar booking for coaching and consultations
  • No commission fees on sales

Cons

  • Limited design customization for landing pages
  • Only supports digital productsβ€”no physical product sales
  • No free planβ€”monthly subscription required

3. Systeme.io

Now we get to Systeme.io. It’s an all-in-one marketing platform that includes email marketing, sales funnels, and membership sites. This is the one that a lot of the online courses promote. However, I’ve never used it myself, although the Roadmap teaches how to use it. Therefore, for beginners it is a very good option.

Pros

  • Affordable pricing compared to competitors
  • Includes email marketing and automation
  • Supports membership sites and online courses

Cons

  • Limited design customisation for landing pages
  • No phone support, only email and chat
  • Not as versatile as WordPress for blogging

Alternatives: Lets Look at WordPress & Aweber For Your Link-in-Bio

Internet Marketing is not new . It’s been around really since the dawn of the modern Internet. However, there are two names that come to mind and are rarely mentioned by the modern so called Guru’s are WordPress and Aweber. Now, I’ve used WordPress since around 2004, from the early WordPress.com, which was an alternative to Googles Blogger to self hosted WordPress.org. Actually most hosting companies offer one click install, and it really isn’t as daunting as a lot make out.

Look, here’s the thing. If you are serious about being in this space, you need good branding. What sells you better as a serous trusted business? Well it’s a website, and everyone should have one. Having said that, what looks better on your URL, some third party name or .com?

WordPress.org

WordPress is the best known full Content Management System out there. A vast amount of the web is built on it, including us. You see, the beauty of WordPress is that you can create any form of Website you want. Even better, the only cost involved is your domain name and hosting, which works out far cheaper than the modern alternatives. We use Hostinger for for both of these and have never had a concern.

You can easily create a simple Link-in-Bio page and test it in all formats including mobile, or install a plugin, with a free option that makes it a breeze. At the moment, we still have our Beacons account simply because I like it and it gives me back links to this site, but I may well close it down.

Pros

  • No monthly feesβ€”just hosting costs
  • Full customisation with themes and plugins. This allows you to maintain full control.
  • SEO-friendly for better visibility

Cons

Aweber

Like WordPress, Aweber has also been around since the early days. As have Get Response and MailChimp.

It is primarily an email marketing tool, but it also offers landing pages that can function as a link-in-bio page. It includes all of the tools you need for funnels and list building, and for a beginner, until you hit 500 subscribers, it’s free to use. I used it years ago but things have moved on now and it looks a really good option for beginners. For our Hub Club members, we do have a very good 22 part video course on setting up Aweber, but there is no reason why you can’t build a Link-in-Bio on a landing page, if you don’t want to go down the WordPress route.

Pros

  • Free plan available for small businesses
  • Includes email automation to nurture leads
  • Drag-and-drop builder for easy customisation

Cons

  • Limited advanced features compared to dedicated link-in-bio tools
  • Free plan has subscriber limits
