Are digital Marketing Courses The Only Answer?
Spend any time on Social Media and you would think Digital Marketing Courses are the only way to build an online business. And yes, we get it! However, Courses are only a small fraction of “How to Make Money Online”.
Since the Roadmap series launched in 2023, Social Media has been awash with people selling the idea of “buy the course” and get rich. But That simply isn’t the reality for most people. Let’s look deeper into the whole “Course Gold Rush”

Why are Courses so Popular?
This one is simple. Over exaggerated claims of almost instant riches. You see content creators claiming crazy results, showing their StanStore earnings after just a few months, and to be fair, some are genuine. But, a lot are not and you have no way of knowing which is which. Fake it to Make it was always the buzz phrase in the old Multi Level Marketing days. And guess what, it seems to be the same today.

Let’s assume everyone who buys a course in the “buy a course and sell a course” market succeeds in making just two sales. Here’s how it would work.
You buy a course for $497. You are told, make just one sale to get your money back, which you do. Then you sell another course , so you’re in profit. Those two customers do the same. Think of a chess board with 64 squares and put one grain of rice on square one. Your customers go on square two, their customer square 3 and so on. By the time you get to square 16, that course will have sold 32,868 times and doubles with each square.
Clearly this is not a sustainable business idea. The only way for you to succeed long term is to hope that most of your customers fail. Because each course you sell opens another chess board. And so it goes on and on and on.
Of Course This is Not The Real World.
Now that example is not how things happen in the real world. But I hope you get the point. The Pyramid analogy is usually associated with MLM or so called illegal Pyramid schemes, and these courses are most certainly not that. The point I’m trying to make here is that selling courses is not the answer to a long term sustainable business. Here’s the thing, almost every online course seller who was promoting the Roadmap 3.0 last year has moved onto a new course, be it SWC or whatever. And there will always be a “next best thing” out there which promises the earth.
Also, I’m not knocking Online Courses, they have there place in this space. They should be the vehicle to teach people to build a business, not the business itself. Hang on Tim, you promote the Roadmap Exclusive and offer Roadmap 3.0 to your members to learn from, you hypocrite. Yes we do. To succeed online, you need to learn specific set of skills.
The Importance of Courses and Education
Education is vital and a good course will teach you those. What a good course will not do is only teach you how to sell the course. Take Roadmap Exclusive as an example. It’s an amazing Business Development Course. It’s not just about Online, it can be used in any type of business. They also teach that making wild income claims, even if they are true is illegal. They encourage you to explore the many different ways of making money online and to be ethical and honest.
We invested in Roadmap last year for a very simple reason. I had been away from this space for a number of years and wanted current, up to date information on how to do this now. Yes, I can promote the course but, our business model is not dependant on it.
Business Model
When you start out, don’t just jump in hoping a business idea will appear as if by magic. Do research, what are the gaps in the market. Online marketing is simple. Find something that people need and provide a solution. When we started back in this space, we looked around for a one stop shop that gave me the information I needed and the ingredients to build it. I didn’t have much luck, so the idea of the Hub was born. This expanded into a low investment members club where everything is provided to get an online business up and running.
I don’t care if it’s eBay. Etsy, Craft, Health and Fitness, membership site, Food and Drink, whatever. The possibilities are endless but they have to follow a recipe to build the foundation. They need the ingredients and lots of short cuts to get it up and running.
Creating Content.
So, you have your business idea, now you must create engaging content to offer a solution to the problem you are solving. This takes time. If you can source a ready make product that offers the solution and you keep 100% of the profit, why not use it. Isn’t everyone else doing this? Well yes, with Master Resell Rights they are. But what about quality Private Label Rights. With PLR you can re-brand it and make it unique.
Think of a good PLR product as the raw material. Re-write it, adding yourself and your style into the content. Create or source new images, create a new title and cover, the Free Online Canva is great for this. Include links to your own site and brand and market it with Master Resell Rights. This way, others can sell it but still promote your brand.
Members of The Hub Club can download any PLR product and even request that we find a particular topic and add it to the site. If we can, we will, that’s what we’re here for.
So is the Hub Club our only online activity. No, we do and love eBay, we run a Mindful Health site, and are currently building a standalone eBiz shop. But what we will never do is focus just on selling Courses, it’s way too risky. I stand firmly behind Roadmap Exclusive and don’t care if a shiny new course appears. It gave us everything we needed to get this far. Plus, Roadmap is ever evolving, so as new information is needed, Hannah and Zach add new modules.
Conclusion
Look, it’s up to you what path you take in this online world. If you want to invest in the best business course out there, Roadmap Exclusive is unbeatable. Invest with us and get a years free membership to the HUB Club and become part of our community. If you don’t, no worries, we’ll still be here because we don’t rely on just selling courses.
