Why You Need Good Cloud Backup

Let’s talk about Cloud Backup. We all know that backing up your data is so important, but how many of us actually do it? For some reason it’s one of those jobs that gets left for another time. But I promise, you will regret it. This is not an in-depth review of all cloud services, just a look at how we do it.
But why do you need to backup data. Quite simply any internal or external storage can and will fail, it’s just a matter of when. You see, one thing is certain, it will happen when you least expect. I have honestly lost months of work by being lazy and not backing up. My internal hard drive failed and everything was lost. It’s a hard and frustrating lesson to learn.
Usually, I download products etc to my external hard drive. After I have finished working on them, I store them on the cloud. That way, no matter where I am, my data is secure and available.
What Cloud Backup Service to Use?
There are many out there, and I thought it would be useful to show the ones we use. It’s by no means an extensive list, but may help you choose.
It could be as simple as Google Drive with the free 15GB which may be enough to get you started.

- Google Drive is a powerful cloud storage solution that offers several benefits:
Accessibility: You can access your files from anywhere, on any device, with an internet connection.
Collaboration: Easily share documents and work on them in real time with others.

We use Google Drive to host some videos. It just works flawlessly.
IceDrive
Icedrive
Security: It uses zero-knowledge encryption, meaning only you can access your files, ensuring top-tier privacy.
Virtual Drive: Unlike traditional cloud storage, Icedrive lets you mount your cloud storage as a local drive, making file management seamless.
Competitive Pricing: It provides affordable plans, including a lifetime option, which can be cost-effective for long-term users.
User-Friendly Interface: The platform is designed to be intuitive and easy to navigate, making it accessible for all users.

The thing I love about Icedrive is you can add it as a virtual drive on you desktop. It can be set to work in the background to auto upload new files. This takes away the need to keep remembering to backup. You can also download the app to your phone and do the same thing.
